The Valdera is a rich and fertile area, a treasure in the multiform landscape of Tuscany. A rich heritage of art and culture, good wine and good food, the Valdera is confirmed as a place of serenity, loved, a thousand years ago, even by the famous Matilde di Canossa, in search of ‘well-being’ between vineyards, olive groves and spas. Near Peccioli, only few meters from a cement road, with unique views of the surrounding hills, this complex has been lovingly restored by the present owners, to become an organic and biodynamic farm with agritourism vocation. Purchased in a state of neglect, years of patient works and care have allowed to restore the exclusive 10.4 hectares of land, certified Bio and Demeter, with 5 hectares of Chianti DOCG vineyard, 1 hectar of olive grove, 1.5 hectar of forest and 3 hectar arable land: the vineyard produces today an excellent biodynamic wine while the olive grove a tasty extra virgin olive, in addition to the production of grappa and jams.
The buildings have been renovated, dedicating most of the space available to the agritourism activity: the manor house, flanked by an ancient brick tower, which currently houses the Suite on the first and second floor, was divided between space dedicated to the restaurant for the guests and the master’s house, with three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and open space, covering an area of 290 square meters. The adjoining building of 170 square meters, in Tuscan style, has four double bedrooms with bathroom, one of which with sauna with infrared and ozone therapy, chromotherapy and aromatherapy as well as a small apartment with kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathroom, facing the beautiful panoramic pool and all set on the ground floor with direct access to the beautiful well kept garden. Not far from the main house is the building dedicated to the modern 250 sqm cellar, which includes an area dedicated to winemaking and one for the bottling of the 15,000-20,000 bottles produced yearly.
